PUBLICATIONS OFFICIAL TEXTSWhile many people may be aware of the sources, they are not always easy to find. The Warsaw seminar showed very clearly how a knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the airlines and ground stations operate affects training priorities, content and methods. The official texts, extracts of which you can find here, will inform you about various aspects of this environment. - JAR 66-15 Eligibility of certifying maintenance staff as regards language proficiency - JAR 145-35 Responsibility of approved maintenance organisations to assess competency of their staff. - ICAO Proficiency Requirements in Common English. Maintenance Regulations (JAR 66 and JAR 145 - future ECAR 66 and ECAR 145) ICAO - Proficiency Requirements in Common English Study Group (PRICESG/3) ARTICLES The ICAEA will draw on various sources to publish original and existing articles on topics of current interest for the aviation community. If you would like to contribute with your own work or by suggesting available texts free of copyright or that could be published with their authors' consent, please contact us at icaea2003@yahoo.co.uk. English and Aircraft Maintenance - Philip Shawcross BIBLIOGRAPHY The Bibliography feature enables you to consult and contribute to a very extensive corpus of titles relating to different aspects of Aviation English, Human Factors, Safety, Teaching Methodology etc. For the moment, we are issuing a very succinct list of titles taken from an initial corpus started many years ago. We will be adding to it, of course, but would welcome your contributions in a form that is compliant with the format created very kindly and efficiently by Maja Bratanic.
